Job description:

Neopartners Ltd are recruiting for a qualified electronics engineer to design and develop products for the upstream oil and gas industry, in particular borehole based systems.

Job Requirements:

  • An appropriate level of qualification
  • Embedded software experience
  • Knowledge of data acquisition systems, signalling and actuators
  • Experience of CAD systems for schematic capture
  • PCB layout experience – desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of programmable logic
  • Good IT skills
  • Reporting – you will be expected to fully support any work undertaken with written reports
  • Willingness to travel for work purposes (although this will be minimal)
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers

Nature of work undertaken:

As an electronics engineer for Neopartners it is assumed that you will maintain proper records including technical reports, H&S and cost control documents and deal with customer technical staff on a fully professional basis. Appropriate training and mentoring will be provided either within the business or externally as required. It is important to understand that the work is technically interesting, complex and is team based, sharing problems and solutions. You will report to the Team Leader of the business but at the same time you will be expected to liaise with all the staff as required. Nominal working hours are 37.5 per week but the nature of the job is such that you will be expected to work flexibly and travel as required although this is the exception rather than the rule

Company information:

Neopartners Ltd was incorporated in 2005 and now provides harsh environment design and development services to the Oil/Gas and Geothermal industries. It has a permanent staff of 4 people and directly employs 3 technical subcontractors. As a small business the working environment is relaxed and the management structure is almost flat.

Start date: As soon as possible
